At The Donkeys we have no paid employees – all staff are volunteers.

This means that all of the money we raise goes to care for The Donkeys.

Their main costs are feed, hay and straw, vets bills, farrier costs (they have their feet trimmed every 10 weeks) and the upkeep of shelters, fencing, water supply etc.

As a not for profit organisation, if we do end up with a surplus at the end of the year, we donate all of it to donkey related charities.

Adopt a Donkey

You can adopt a donkey yourself or as a gift for a friend or family member the cost is £3 per month or £36 per year and you will receive:

Full colour adoption certificate information on your adopted donkey and the other donkeys in the herd
a donkey fridge magnet with your chosen donkey
monthly update with photos and videos to your inbox

2 free visits to the donkeys each year and a VIP membership card giving you and your friends and family 25% off afternoon teas, winter with donkeys and walking with donkeys.

Donations

“The Donkeys” is a not for profit organisation that exists only to fund the care, food, shelter and welfare of these lovely miniature donkeys. We have no full-time staff - all of the staff you see are volunteers. As a result, all money raised is spent on the donkeys! Any surplus money at the end of the year is sent to donkey charities who support the wider community of donkeys worldwide.

If you would like to donate to help fund the donkeys, then we are most grateful no matter how large or small your donation.

The donkeys are always grateful to receive sponsorship from individuals and organisations. These help us with bigger projects like concreting the yard, fencing, buying a trailer etc...
